I thought the HMRC application form to pay voluntary National Insurance Contributions looked quite straightforward so didn’t see why I should pay someone to help me when my circumstances appeared very black and white and I was clearly eligible. I applied in mid-January 2024 but then was horrified when I was rejected by HMRC in early March for the cheap Class 2 rate as expected.
I got XtraPension to appeal on my behalf quoting the relevant EC Directives and Brexit Withdrawal Treaty Articles of Legislation along with the relevant Class 2 criteria back to HMRC.Their appeal was successful and I got my letter of approval for Class 2 in early May 2024.
This saved me approx €14,000 on buying the past years alone never mind the saving on my many future years. I was so relived and delighted with the result!! I could not recommend John Ring and the team at XtraPension more!
